Meet The Cast of The Mystery of Edwin Drood: Linda Swanson Brown
Where are you from?
Originally from Ohio, previously lived in El Paso, but I’ve been living in Denver for over 20 years and consider it my adopted home state.
What's your favorite role you've ever played?
Two very different Elizabeths - Queen Elizabeth in Richard III and Elizabeth Benning in Young Frankenstein
What roles might patrons have seen you in previously?
My last role with the Vintage was Angie in Della Doucet. Very loyal Vintage fans might have seen me as part of Bernie’s harem in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the old Vintage on 17th!
What is your role in the cast/creative team?
Ensemble
What is the best part of that role/being involved in this show?
This whole cast and creative team are an absolute joy to work with! I’m finally getting to work with some people I’ve admired for a long time, as well as some old friends that I’ve worked with before.
Do you have a favorite song or moment from the show?
My favorite moment is finding out who the audience will vote for every night!
Do you have any favorite Holiday Traditions you're looking forward to this season?
My family does a Secret Santa every year
In this show, the audience gets to choose how the show will end because Charles Dickens passed away before he could finish it. Is there a show/movie/book you'd like to change the ending of if you could choose?
Much Ado About Nothing is my favorite Shakespeare play, but the older I get, the more I think Hero and Beatrice should ditch the guys and go be happy as sisters somewhere in Italy!
What can audiences look forward to with this show?
Fabulous performances, fun music, and a mystery that ends differently every night!
