The Producers: Meet Emma Bryant
1) Who are you? Is this your first time working at Vintage Theatre? What roles/shows might patrons have seen you in previously?
My name is Emma Bryant, and I am part of the Ensemble for The Producers! I recently moved back to Colorado after graduating from Southeast Missouri State University with my BFA in Musical Theatre, so this is my post-grad debut and my first time working at Vintage Theatre.
2) What did you want to be growing up? How close did you get or did it completely change?
I have loved performing since I was a kid, so growing up I always wanted to be an actress. By pursuing musical theatre in college and now post-grad, I would say that I have accomplished that dream!
3) What is your current dream job?
My current dream job is to be a performer in a Broadway show, particularly an ensemble member in a dance-heavy musical like Hamilton or Water for Elephants. Outside of performing, I would also enjoy working as a copy editor for a book publishing company.
4) Would you ever want to be a Producer?
I have never considered being a producer, but I do have some interest in being a director! I directed and choreographed for a couple shows while I was in college, which I absolutely loved doing. Those experiences provided me with a very unique way to express my creativity outside of performing on stage.
5) What is your favorite part of the show?
My favorite part of working on this show has been making connections with so many great people in the cast and on the production team, but my favorite part of the show itself would be dancing in “I Wanna Be A Producer” with Leo and the other showgirls.
